The success of your business may depend on how well you can impact the ideas, opinions, and actions of others. An important way to increase your odds of influencing more people is to learn to communicate with impact and influence.
Impactful communication focuses on the audience you are speaking to and tailoring your message to that audience. Pay attention to your choice of words, your tone, your tempo and whether the listener(s) understood. Plan what you have to say with intention so that your communication is clear and concise. If you start to ramble or use a lot of filler words such as, “um,” “like,” “so,” your message might not resonate with your audience. You can have more influence when your speech has more substance and significance to the listener.
