8 Steps to Market & Sell Your Book

If you want to market your book, you should start by creating a marketing plan that will build awareness and motivate people to buy it. As an author, YOU are the brand and the product you sell is you book. Identify the Target Reader: The first step is to identify who the typical reader is for your book. Once you know who they are you can identify promotional methods to reach them.   Create Marketing Materials: You’ll need to create some marketing collateral for the book, such as postcards, bookmarks, poster boards, etc.   Assemble a Media Kit: Put together a media kit. Whether you are promoting an event or a product, coming up with a marketing plan is a huge step in the right direction. Start with defining what a successful event would look like to you.
